The Most Overlooked Form in Estate Planning

It’s easy to assume your will is the final word. But beneficiary designations on retirement accounts, life insurance, and even some brokerage accounts override it—every time.

That’s why this one-page form might be the most important thing you never think about. If it lists an ex, or someone who’s no longer part of your life, those assets will still go to them, even if your will says otherwise.

Double-check. Update. Repeat after any big life event—marriage, divorce, kids, or career change. The peace of mind is worth it.
